Mactan-Cebu International Airport welcomes Royal Air Philippines

Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu – Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is thrilled to announce the launch
of Royal Air Philippines’ direct flight to Hong Kong with 5x weekly flights onboard Airbus A320
aircraft, boasting a comfortable seat capacity of 180 passengers.

The launch of this new route marks a significant milestone in the expansion of travel options from
Cebu, boosting tourism and economic ties between Cebu and Hong Kong and promoting cultural
exchange and business opportunities.

The launch of Royal Air Philippines’ Cebu to Hong Kong route underscores MCIA’s commitment to
providing passengers with a wide range of flight options and enhancing the overall travel experience.
With its strategic location, modern facilities, and strong airline partnerships, MCIA continues to be a
gateway to the Philippines and a vital link to international destinations.

Royal Air Philippines’ inaugural flight from Cebu to Hong Kong is scheduled for October 9, 2023, at
4:30 p.m. at Terminal 2. With the addition of this new carrier, MCIA now has 15 foreign and 5
Philippine-based airline partners and connecting to 30 domestic destinations and 12 international
destinations.
