Presented by the Department of Tourism, with Kaiser International Health Group and Manila Bankers Assurance as co-presenters, this landmark tournament is sanctioned by the ITF and marks a major milestone for the country’s sports and wellness tourism scene.
A Global Gathering of Tennis Masters
The MT200 Asmara Cup will welcome over 100 athletes aged 30 and above from across the globe. Confirmed participants hail from the Philippines, Japan, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Italy, Argentina, Canada, Taiwan, and Belgium.

Tournament Director Ilyn Hupano adds:
“Beyond the games, the Asmara Cup is an opportunity for cultural exchange, tourism promotion, and age-inclusive community celebration. We invite everyone to be part of this historic milestone.”
Boost for Cebu’s Tourism & Local Businesses
The tournament is expected to bring a surge in hotel bookings, restaurant visits, and cultural tourism, as international players and guests explore Cebu’s rich attractions. This aligns perfectly with the Department of Tourism’s goal of positioning the Philippines as a prime hub for sports and wellness tourism.
