Mactan-Cebu International Airport Expands Routes with New Airline Partners, Boosting Cebu Connectivity

LAPU-LAPU CITY, PHILIPPINES – Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is making air travel in the Philippines more exciting than ever. At the recently held Festival of Flights Media Launch, MCIA announced new international and domestic routes, along with fresh airline partners, further strengthening Cebu’s reputation as a premier travel hub in Asia.

New Airline Partners and Expanded Flights

MCIA is now welcoming Jetstar Airways and Firefly Airlines to its growing list of carriers, alongside Philippine Airlines and Philippines AirAsia. With new destinations and increased flight frequencies, travelers can look forward to more convenient and diverse travel options in the coming months.

International Routes

• Cebu to Kuala Lumpur – AirAsia (twice daily) starting November 15, 2025
• Cebu to Macau – AirAsia (thrice weekly) starting November 15, 2025
• Cebu to Kuala Lumpur – Firefly Airlines (five times weekly) starting December 2, 2025
• Cebu to Brisbane, Australia – Jetstar Airways (thrice weekly) starting December 3, 2025

Domestic Routes

• Cebu to Davao – AirAsia (18 times weekly) starting November 15, 2025
• Cebu to Caticlan – AirAsia (11 times weekly) starting November 15, 2025
• Cebu to Iloilo – AirAsia (four times weekly) starting November 15, 2025
• Cebu to Calbayog – Philippine Airlines (four times weekly) starting October 26, 2025

These new routes add to MCIA’s strong network, following the successful launches of flights to Ho Chi Minh City and Catarman earlier this year. The addition of Brisbane and increased Kuala Lumpur flights highlight Cebu’s growing international reach, while expanded domestic services further establish Cebu as the key gateway to the Visayas and Mindanao.

CebConnects: Making Travel Seamless

Alongside the new routes, MCIA also launched its CebConnects campaign, a unique feature designed to make transfers between domestic and international flights easier and more efficient. This initiative positions MCIA as the ideal connecting point for travelers within the Philippines and across the Asia-Pacific region.
