The P60 million on-grid and hybrid solar farm built by CCLEC is already complete and will produce at least 50,400 kWh of energy per month.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) taps renewable energy to power the day-to-day operation of its 8.9-kilometer modern toll expressway.

The project is a component of the company’s over P150 million investment in sustainable projects and initiatives.

The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway’s (CCLEX) power usage is predicted to be significantly reduced once the solar farm is fully operational in April.

It will meet the expressway’s daytime power needs for the toll plaza, closed-circuit television cameras, road weather information system, traffic control room, and roadway lights.

In addition to the solar farm, CCLEC invested P60.7 million in installing 13 oil interceptors along the expressway to stop toxins from entering the ocean.

The Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road division of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), a publicly traded infrastructure holding company and a part of the MVP Group of Companies, is the parent company of CCLEC.
