
Cebu Online News Press Corps Welcomes New Members, Launches CONPC.TV in Milestone Gathering

The Cebu Online News Press Corps (CONPC) gathered at Ayala Center Cebu last July 5, 2025, for a day of milestones and renewed commitments to ethical, responsible, and positive content creation.
Hosted by Kasal.com, the event was more than an induction of new membersโit was a celebration of growth, collaboration, and a vision for Cebuโs digital media landscape. CONPC founder and RMA News President, Robby Alugar, opened the program by reminding members of their shared mission: to tell the truth and work together in shaping a trustworthy digital media community.

A major highlight of the event was the unveiling of CONPC.TV, a new digital platform launched in collaboration with JCAD TV. Ms. Julienne Guanzon, JCAD TV Station Manager, shared that CONPC.TV will broaden the groupโs reach, providing a platform where members can showcase creative and news content while earning through exclusive segments and contributions. This step toward digital transformation reflects CONPCโs commitment to innovation while staying rooted in ethical journalism.

The event also featured the soft launch of โThe Next Level Lifestyleโ, a new lifestyle television show under CONPC.TV, adding excitement for members eager to contribute meaningful content to the Cebu community.

The induction of new members and the renewal of the oath of commitment were the heart of the gathering. As each member was formally introduced, the ceremony became a reaffirmation of their shared responsibility to deliver news and stories that matter, upholding the values of integrity and truth.
โYou are not just a press corps; you are a community of torchbearers,โ shared Ms. Marivic Bathan, President of Childrenโs Paradise Montessori School, who delivered an inspiring message encouraging members to remain lights in a world often clouded by misinformation.

Ms. Lilu Alino, Managing Director of Lilu Ads and Board Trustee of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, praised the resilience and productivity of the group. She emphasized that ethical, responsible media plays a crucial role in driving Cebuโs progress forward.

The gathering coincided with Kasalan at Kotilyon 2025, a nationwide wedding expo that has been a platform for couples to connect with trustworthy wedding suppliers. Ms. Ong highlighted the importance of ensuring each wedding partner is carefully vetted to uphold quality and protect couples from scams, emphasizing that weddings are โa once-in-a-lifetime event with deep meaning for every Filipino.โ

The Cebu leg of the expo featured exclusive wedding promos that drew in soon-to-wed couples eager to find the best deals for their big day. Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu, through Senior Sales Manager Jehd Ombos, shared exclusive packages with complimentary deluxe rooms, while Golden Prince Hotel and Suites offered customizable wedding packages with free overnight stays for couples.
Patricia Rachel Farrarons-Akomo of PRF Events, a first-time exhibitor, shared that the expo is an excellent platform for micro and small wedding entrepreneurs to showcase what they can offer to Cebuโs wedding community.

The event also hosted the Cebu Power Women X Bridal Designers Show, featuring stunning gowns by top Filipino designers such as Dexter Alazas, IA Joca, and Philipp Tampus, modeled by empowered Cebuana women, including Congresswoman Rachel ‘Cutie’ Del Mar.
