Cebu City, July 10, 2025 – Global mobility leader inDrive has officially broken ground on its first regional hub in the Visayas, furthering its commitment to expand people-driven mobility services across the region and the Philippines.
The upcoming inDrive Visayas hub, set to rise on E. Echavez Street in Cebu City, marks a major milestone for the California-based tech company, just seven months after launching full ride-hailing operations in Cebu in December 2024.
“This hub represents our deepest commitment to the Cebuano community and our transport partners in this region,” said Sofia Guinto, inDrive’s Business Development Head for the Philippines. “We want people to feel that inDrive truly listens, includes, and empowers.”
Empowering Cebu Drivers with a 5% Commission Rate
As part of its pilot operations in Cebu, inDrive has already onboarded over 1,400 active partner drivers, providing Cebuanos with more mobility options while creating livelihood opportunities in the region.
To further increase drivers’ income potential, inDrive will implement an industry-low 5% commission rate per transaction starting July 2025 – currently the lowest ride-hailing commission rate in the Philippines.
“This move reflects our commitment to building a more balanced and fair ride-hailing ecosystem. It allows drivers to take home more from every trip while passengers continue to enjoy fair, transparent pricing,” said Mark Tolley, inDrive’s Regional Director. “We will continue to assess this approach to ensure it remains sustainable and beneficial for all.”
By offering the lowest commission globally, inDrive challenges traditional industry models and puts driver welfare and fair pricing at the forefront.
Cebu: A Strategic Hub for inDrive’s Regional Expansion

The integrated 903 sqm facility, opening in Q4 2025, will serve as inDrive’s flagship mobility hub in the Visayas, housing driver support services, fleet operations, and community-centric initiatives.
In a culturally responsive move, the hub will feature a branded basketball court, strengthening inDrive’s local partnerships and community connection in Cebu.
The facility is expected to expand transport services, generate direct and indirect employment opportunities, and contribute to Cebu’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and sustainable urban mobility.
Additionally, inDrive plans to roll out merit-based bonuses, tenure-linked benefits, and peak-season incentives to further support Cebu-based partner drivers.
